Prophets received dreams, visions and revelations from God that enabled them to convey spiritual messages and realities to God’s people. God, the Father, put His Word in the mind of the prophet and apostles by His Spirit. They are a spokesperson for the people of God. The prophets’ prophecy means they put forth the Word of God clearly to the people of God.

”Prophets can be seen as a spokesperson that pours out words under the power of the Spirit of God. Prophets can be seen also as one who speaks on behalf of the people or another person. A prophet can be seen today as a speaker of the House of Commerce, prophets speak for God based on who he heard, or saw and received in his dreams and visions from God. They are the Lord’s messengers. They provide understanding of the Word of God to those who are lost. Prophets were not just spiritual leaders, but they are the people that God set aside, consecrated and put onto them His Spirit and his Word entered into them and took total procession because the Spirit of God and the Word of God built the prophet, so that they can be useful for the service of God.

Old Testament prophets possessed a theme of different distinct characteristics. 

This book is an inspirational book about the message of God through His Messengers throughout the ages. Jesus called the disciples to follow him in his ministry as God the Father called all the prophets to deliver his message to the people in the Old Testament: “As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men” At once they left their nets and followed him.” Mark 1:16-17. The first calling of disciples is to follow Jesus and to know him personally as a result of this relationship; they then lead others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Christ is still calling people today to follow him; if he calls you please answer his call the reward is great; he is waiting for you and me to take the gospel of God to the end of the earth.
